Marathon was started in 1984, by Lee Manuel, as a recycler of word processing ribbons. Lee started recycling ribbons out of his garage and in fifteen years, by reinvesting all of the profits, grew Marathon into a 30,000 square foot, state of the art manufacturing facility. Over the years, we have evolved into one of the largest manufacturers of computer, point of sale, and financial ribbons in the United States.
